Zachary Weiss
Forward Deployed Engineer at ElevenLabs
New York, NY
I am a Forward Deployed Engineer at ElevenLabs in New York City, where I partner with strategic enterprise clients to architect, deploy, and scale production AI voice and conversational agent systems. My work bridges client-side implementation demands with core platform engineering to drive adoption and accelerate time-to-value.
Previously, I spent over two years as a Software Engineer at Google in New York, focusing on large-scale distributed systems and binary distribution infrastructure (Midas) powering production installations fleetwide. In that role, I led initiatives on low-latency deployment and mounting architectures to optimize update speed and compute utilization for AI/ML workloads alongside teams like Google DeepMind, while serving as a Tier-1 on-call engineer and mentoring early-career engineers. Before joining full-time, I spent three summers interning across Google Cloud, Maps, and News.
I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. in Computer Science (3.92 GPA) and a minor in Entrepreneurship. During my time in Ann Arbor, I served as an Instructional Aide for two years in the EECS department, teaching Data Structures & Algorithms (EECS 281) and Web Systems (EECS 485).
Outside of engineering, I am a competitive endurance runner currently training for the Philadelphia Marathon, an active member of New York's distance running community, and involved in civic leadership with the UJA-Federation of New York. I also enjoy alpine skiing, exploring regional food culture through my culinary project @mr.fry.guy, and artisanal coffee brewing.
